Choosing your Memorial

Black Granite Ogee.jpg

Choosing a memorial for a loved one can be a difficult choice, here are a few things to consider before making a final decision.

Location

Regulations

Maintenance

It is important to consider what stone to use depending on the location of the stone in the cemetery/churchyard. e.g, if the grave is beneath a tree or close to a hedge, a granite memorial would be a better option, as marble and other stones are more susceptible to staining.

All churchyards and cemeteries have different regulations on which the type of material and size/style of memorial is allowed. e.g, most churchyards do not allow polished memorials,

Memorials require cleaning and upkeep to maintain their appearance. Polished materials are easier to keep clean.
